Nestled on Gheytariyeh St., Qandil is a discreet and somewhat elusive gem in Tehran’s dining scene, primarily serving as a pub & bar. Its low profile is evident, with minimal presence on popular restaurant directories; a brief listing on Foursquare is almost its only digital footprint. This under-the-radar spot specializes in cocktail bar-style dishes, promising an intriguing mix of flavors for those who venture inside.
Guests visiting Qandil will find a menu featuring brunch options and a happy hour that highlights their cocktail offerings. Past visitors have remarked upon the unique presentation of their drinks, notably served in quirky jars that come with the added perk of being a complimentary keepsake. The smoothies are especially memorable, praised for their interesting colors and distinctive tastes, although reviews of these date back nearly a decade.
While there's no information on outdoor seating, Wi-Fi, or reservations, Qandil might have attracted more of the public's gaze if it had a recent push from the owners to update its amenities and reputation. For those looking to explore or add something unassuming yet potentially satisfying to their dining repertoire in Tehran, Qandil could be worth seeking out, albeit cautiously due to its low-key presence and lack of recent updates.
