I ordered the Prawns Rice from Qissa. The taste was good, though not something exceptional. The quality of the food was good and the prawns were well prepared. One thing I would like to highlight is the quantity. Since the dish costs 18 QAR, I expected a more generous portion of rice. The serving size felt a bit small for the price. Overall, it was an okay experience. If you're looking to try a different flavor, it's worth giving it a try. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: QAR 1–50 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

"Worst Biryani Experience — Total Disappointment on Eid Day* I had the most disappointing meal of my Eid at this restaurant, and I feel completely cheated. Let me be honest — what they served is NOT biryani. They simply took plain ghee rice, threw some flavorless meat on top, added a basic curry on the side, mixed it together, and had the audacity to call it Kerala Biryani. That is not a biryani — that is two separate dishes combined to deceive customers. The meat had absolutely zero flavor — no marination, no spices, nothing. It tasted like it was boiled in plain water. There was no additional masala provided, no sides, no accompaniments that you would normally expect with a proper biryani. The rice itself was just plain ghee rice — anyone who has eaten authentic Kerala biryani knows the rice is cooked with whole spices and absorbs every layer of flavor. This had none of that. This restaurant is running a pure adjustment setup — cutting corners, combining cheaper dishes, and marketing it as something premium. It shows zero respect for the dish and zero respect for the customer. On a special occasion like Eid, people come expecting authentic, flavorful food — not a shortcut plate that insults a beloved cuisine. To anyone planning to visit — save your money and your Eid mood. I visited Al Qissa Restaurant on Friday and had chicken biriyani. The taste was good—flavorful, well-balanced, and not overloaded with masala. The chicken was also nicely cooked. However, the service was disappointing. We had to ask multiple times for raita and pickle, and they were only served much later. Even for hot water, we had to wait after requesting. Overall, the biriyani is worth trying, but service needs improvement. Meal type: Lunch Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2
