I’ve visited Queen Tea twice, and unfortunately both experiences were disappointing due to the service. My first visit was in the afternoon on a Saturday, and the crew seemed unprepared and understaffed. I completely understand that weekends can get busy and orders may take longer, but basic communication and professionalism should still be there. Instead, the interaction with the cashier/barista felt dismissive, and I was made to feel like I was inconveniencing them simply by placing a normal order (two drinks and an order of Taiwanese chicken nuggets). The second visit was around 10pm. Your location advertises a daily closing time at 11:30pm, so I intentionally avoided coming close to closing out of respect for service industry workers. The shop wasn’t busy, yet the cashier/barista still seemed visibly annoyed. When I changed my drink order due to an unavailable topping, they outright SIGHED. Mind you, I had just started ordering and hadn’t even paid. That kind of reaction is simply unprofessional and rude. I don’t expect to be treated like a royalty at a casual milk tea cafe, but shouldn’t a waged employee at least interact with a customer somewhat professionally? Not to mention the drink was made wrong. If employees are consistently overwhelmed or frustrated, that points to a staffing or training issue, not the customer. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and improves both staffing and employee training so future customers don’t feel like a nuisance for buying two cups of boba tea.

I absolutely love this spot! Quick service, the chickeninis are so addicting and that humongous XL drink option is right up my alley. Major bonus that it is across the street from work.
