The best Detroit style pizza in Reno area. I have been searching for a good deep dish pizza in Reno after the Chicago style pizza place closed. There is literally nothing in the area worth noting about true deep dish pizza. That is until I visited R town pizza. The pizza tastes fantastic especially the crispy outer crust of the dough. The wife and I ordered a "four corner" sized Motown pizza. The pizza was enough for both of us to enjoy without leftovers. Be aware that we are older and don't eat as much as we used to. I believe that the of cost of the pizza was reasonable. The only concern I would have is that they seemed to be slightly understaffed for the night we went. R Town Pizza is the best deep dish pizza to be had in Reno. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

My new favorite pizza place in Reno! A lively place with plenty of space, R Town Pizza's specialty is Detroit style pizza. With a bunch of different preset options, I still went with their 4-corner double pepperoni (the 313). The crust is buttery crispy, the pepperonis are the cupped kind that holds the oil inside. I bit greasy, but that was what I was expecting from this type of pie. My wife ordered the Pterosaur wing... It was massive! A large turkey wing drizzled with your choice of sauce, it was juicy and flavorful. We went with the Detroit double dip sauce (buffalo+teriyaki) and it was delicious. We also ordered the garlic cheese bread, which was nice and crispy with nice buttery garlic spread. Add their marinara sauce for dip and it was scrumptious! Overall price was a little higher ($65) for our meal but it was worth it. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

I stopped by 7/15/2026 planning to get a slice for lunch. I walked in and was going to read the menu when the blonde working the register asked if she could help me. She handed me a menu and said she was in the middle of a complicated order. I should have just left, but wanted to try this place. When she was finally ready for the order 5 or 6 minutes later, I asked how long it would take. She said 15 minutes. I didn't have that long (and noticed no one at the tables had food either) so thought I would order a brownie on the counter and head out. First few bites of the brownie were divine and then I found a short, straight, black hair in the brownie. My hair is curly, so complete waste of $7. I threw the rest away.
