King Fahd International Stadium, nicknamed “The Tent Stadium” and “The Pearl of Stadiums,” is located in the eastern part of the Saudi capital, Riyadh. The site was established on a total area of 500,000 square metres. The facility is owned by the government, represented by the General Sports Authority, and the project was launched on December 7. 1982. The implementation took a period of four years and four months, and the number of workers there at peak times reached 1,800 workers, working every day over three periods. The stadium’s stands accommodate more than 60,000 spectators, each spectator having a special seat. The stadium is connected to King Khalid International Airport and the Dammam Expressway, and is surrounded by several main roads whose mission is to facilitate the entry and exit of VIP visitors, sports teams, and the general public .
