After a rather circuitous journey from London Euston to Wrexham General, I ended up being routed via Crewe and Chester, due to flooding on the railway. How wonderful to be greeted by a happy, smiley young lady called Veronica! After all the hassle of trains and coaches, having a smile and a warm welcome absolutely made my day. The bacon barm went down a treat, along with a tea, as it’s 3pm and I hadn’t eaten since last night. A huge thank you to Veronica, who really has made my day so much less frustrating!
