Our last night so decided to opt for this restaurant. I ordered a tuna salad and partner chicken salad. The tuna was actually mackerel and awful and partner ended up with a chicken dish not sure what it was. When challenged the waitress she said no no that’s what you ordered. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all. I honestly think they are ripping the tourists off. Don’t waste your euros on this place go somewhere else.

I can see a lot of negative reviews which sound a bit unfair on this restaurant, which dare I say some of the negative reviews sound like they are from tourists, (I am also English but live in Nice (my wife is French)), so this review is to help tourists really. Firstly, I've seen negative reviews about the cost of water, it does sound expensive at 7.50 a bottle but it is completely normal in every French restaurant to ask for a 'carafe d'eau', which is completely free and not at all frowned upon like in UK to order a 'jug of water'. Secondly, it's the same in every restaurant but it does always seem to take a while to get the bill and then pay by the card machine - literally, every restaurant in France. They like to allow you to sit and enjoy your time after the meal and don't rush you out like they do in UK. Sometimes, I find it useful to go to the bar to pay for the bill and that is completley fine and acceptable and I think actually appears to be helpful to the restaurant. So as I said before, it does seem very unfair to give a negative review just to this restaurant, for these reasons. Re the negative review about being forced to tip, we wasn't and never have been. Tipping is not mandatory by the way, it's not 10% or 20% like some other countries, 1 or 2 euros per person is completley fine and just says a small thank you to your server, which would be appreciated. I'm not being stingy when I say this, my wife, family and friends (who are French) all do the same and could be seen as weird when you try to give more, although of course this would be appreciated by your server, so you can decide. As for this particular restaurant, I found it great, live piano music whilst we sat to enjoy our meal outside on a summer evening, was lovely and a big surprise for my birthday meal arranged very last minute. Mussels and fries is also one of my favourite dishes and it was very good here. I would recommened. Sorry long review but I thought it seemed unfair about these negative comments. Today is my last day in Nice. I have been eating delicious food during my stay but
Unfortunately, tonight was not the case . My wife and I decided to eat near our Hotel at this restaurant. I ordered a French Onion Soup which was terrible . The traditional onion soup is made with caramelize onions, this soup had raw onions, the broth was watery , no flavor . I told the waiter that the soup was not good . He did not care when I explained what was wrong with the soup. My wife’s pizza was unflavored so we asked for our bill. They charged us for everything . I should of known this place had terrible food , as we walked in a person was complaining about their pasta and another seat at our table, a couple was about the mussels. If you want to have a great meal in Nice, avoid this restaurant, there are many other options, even Macdonals is better than them.
