There are a few reviews saying that the woman who works here is rude and inhospital, and that the service is bad. Although the iced coffee was good, I did find this women to truly be threatening. Some reviews said English friendly, I really did not think so as a foreigner. The atmosphere is very cool but the smoking may make eating unenjoyable for some ppl Food: 5 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 4

After a morning of shopping in the beautiful town of Kamakura, I stepped into Rondino for some lunch before returning to Tokyo - that was my first mistake. From the moment I stepped inside I was met by an extremely unfriendly, inhospitable woman. I ordered a tuna sandwich with small side salad - hands down the worst thing I ate the whole time I was in Japan and my worst dining experience. Everyone says that Japanese people are warm, gracious and kind - this woman was none of those things and my horrendous experience at this cafe was something I’ll never forget. Luckily the rest of my time in Japan was filled with wonderful experiences and gracious people but I urge anyone looking for lunch in Kamakura to walk straight past Rondino. Price per person: ¥1–1,000
