After seeing Jimi Hendrix Grave Site, come here for a meal. International cuisine is to the pleasure of all guests here. It's time to relax and eat tasty pies, salads and fish.
The competent staff meets you at this cafeteria all year round. The good service is something these restaurateurs care about. Renton Technical College Culinaire Room provides you with a great choice of dishes at adequate prices. The atmosphere is enjoyable, as people find it.

My challenge is to be accurate and fair, without sounding like a shill for RTC's dining room. To be fair, I am a huge fan of community colleges and technical schools. FWIW, we're big fans of advanced education. My wife and I have Master's degrees, as does one of our daughters. Our other daughter has two Bachelor's degrees (BA and BS), and our son-in-law has a BA degree, with lots of formal OJT from his employer. However, college isn't for everyone, and society needs people able to competently perform hands-on tasks. These institutions allow people to enter the workforce much earlier. Their training is specific to certain occupations. This is specifically true for culinary skills. RTC's departments are noteworthy for having a close relationship with prospective employers, to insure that students' skills match the need of employers. With my sermon complete, I'll discuss this dining facility. Remembering that the staff are students, so some aspects aren't always as polished as we would expect from an established commercial restaurant. That's tempered by the student's enthusiasm for their roles. The food was uniformly excellent in taste and presentation. These students are training to work in full-service restaurants, not fast food joints. Prices are in whole-dollar amounts, and very reasonable. There are no provisions for tips. We were given a paper bill, which allowed us to discuss an undercharge with the server. To see my diatribe about "paperless" bills, see my review of the COA Mexican restaurant in La Conner. I don't plan to return there, but most certainly will continue to visit RTC's dining room. The dining room menu changes monthly, and is available on-line. I can't say enough about this facility without harming my credibility. The photo is of a chicken pot pie and salad. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: USD 10–20 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 2
