Our best dinner experience in Rome! We ordered the fried squid, bruschetta, saltimbocca alla romana, ravioli, panna cotta, and tiramisu, and every dish was absolutely delicious. The service was fast, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. We highly recommend this place! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €40–50

0 Stars If I Could – A Toxic, Aggressive Tourist Trap Do not walk away from this place—run. Osteria Ragno d'oro is a absolute nightmare masquerading as an "authentic" restaurant. It is a cynical, finely tuned trap designed to exploit unsuspecting tourists. It flashes every single red flag in the book: a bloated, multi-lingual laminated menu and a slick, pushy, salesman-type vulture standing on the sidewalk aggressively hunting for targets. The food is an absolute insult to Italian cuisine. The Caprese salad was a joke—literally just a rubbery, tasteless ball of cheap mozzarella dumped next to a few sad, watery tomato slices. Zero effort, zero flavor. The Amatriciana was a greasy, heavy disaster that was completely nothing special—bland, mass-produced sludge you wouldn't even serve to your worst enemy. But the service is where this place becomes genuinely toxic. The waiter was relentless, aggressively breathing down our necks to upsell overpriced appetizers and desserts. The absolute second I stood my ground, refused the upsells, and asked for the check, his fake smile vanished. His attitude flipped instantly into pure hostility. He became incredibly rude, dismissive, and slammed things around because he realized he couldn't squeeze any more cash out of us. This place doesn't care about hospitality; they care about turning you over like cattle and robbing you blind. Save your money, save your sanity, and avoid this miserable trap at all costs.
