Just ordered some food to take away, chicken , deviled chicken, mixed noodles, and chicken chop sue, taste less taste like watery, yes im a local ,but even for non sri lankan food not good, need some spicy and taste. So Avoid this place,,. Food: 1

One of the worst hotel experiences around Ella — unfortunately, this place spoiled part of our trip.As soon as we ordered our food, we noticed a very unpleasant smell and insects inside the hotel due to the sorrounded drainage. Because of this ,we decided to change our order to takeaway rather than dine-in. However, when we received the takeaway order, we were surprised to see an additional 10% table service charge. When I questioned this, the lady manager responded harshly and questioned why we had changed our order to takeaway. She even commented that foreigners eat there, so why couldn't we. This attitude was extremely disappointing.Being a local customer does not mean we should tolerate unhygienic conditions or accept poor service without raising a legitimate concern.Every customer deserves a clean environment, respectful treatment, transparent pricing, and good-quality food—regardless of whether they are a local or a foreign visitor. Unfortunately, the food itself was also very disappointing and below our expectations. Overall, this was a very unpleasant experience, and I would not recommend this place based on the hygiene, customer service, unexpected service charge, and food quality. Terrible experience and the worst biryani I’ve ever had. They claim to be Halal, but cannot provide any certification or proof. The service took forever, the food was bland, overly onion-heavy, and the chicken was dry and rubbery. To make matters worse, the seating is uncomfortable and it’s extremely noisy from the street. Absolutely do not recommend, especially for Muslim. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1 Meal type: Lunch Price per person: Rs 2,000–3,000
