We had a family get together for my sons birthday. First time here. Service was excellent food was delicious and for a Tuesday night it was quite busy with patrons dining in and takeaways going out. Prices same as other Indian restaurants. The menu had some new sauces I've not seen before. We enjoyed our food, and even though its the other side of Wigan & a bit of drive away from home we have already booked to go back there in a couple of weeks. The food I ordered was Chicken Jalfrezi and it was far too hot to eat. Even when I stipulated I wanted it mild. Also the curries my friends had which was a lamb Karahi and Rogan Josh all looked the same and lacked taste. I was genuinely looking forward to this meal and came away disappointed as did my other friends. The service was ok, but as we were a late sitting felt rushed as they started cleaning around us and with 1 hour to closing this was quite off putting especially when the hoover was switched on. My 1st and last time at the Raj. Service: Dine in Price per person: £40–50 Food: 1 Recommended dishes: Mixed Biryani
