We visited RAKERU on our final day in Japan, walking through light rain under a typhoon warning, expecting a simple brunch before heading to the airport. What we got instead was the best meal of our entire Japan trip. Everything was exceptional - the coffee, soup, omurice, buttery buns, French toast, and desserts. Every dish felt thoughtfully prepared and comforting. The omurice was outstanding, but the real surprise was the Mango White Rare Cheese French Toast, which was one of the most delicious desserts we have ever had. After nearly two weeks of traveling across Tokyo, Kawaguchiko, Kyoto, Nara, Kobe, Osaka, Disneyland, and Universal Studios Japan, we had eaten at many highly rated restaurants. Yet RAKERU ended up being the unanimous favorite of our entire group. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and it gave us the perfect ending to an unforgettable Japan trip. Highly recommended. A hidden gem and a must-visit when in Tokyo. Meal type: Brunch Price per person: ¥10,000+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Came to this Rakeru family for their French toast 979 for the French toast with syrup They have alot of others like with ice cream or chocolate Most have option to add whip cream for an extra 400 ish There is a drink set option for 380 You’re given a huge pitcher of water though 2 small baguette French toast with butter and syrup They are tiny for the price The French toast are okay. Reminds me of stuff you’d find at 7/11 Probably a bit better than okay but I can’t get over the fact of this being 1000 for such a TINY amount. That’s the price of a main dish but this clearly isn’t. Some google pics from 5 years ago show much bigger portions. I could understand if this was a add on to another plate but at this price I won’t be back. I had a disappointing experience at this omurice restaurant. I came with my daughter because she wanted to eat here. I only ordered one Hamburg omurice set for her, as I planned to step out briefly to a nearby ramen shop while she was eating. I stayed until the food arrived to make sure everything was fine. (The restaurant was empty at that time only 2 other person eating) However, the server insisted that I must order something as well, even after I clearly explained the situation. She repeatedly told me that I had to order a drink, speaking in a very rude and aggressive manner. Because of this, I was forced to order a milkshake that my daughter didn’t even want and couldn’t finish. On top of that, the food itself was overrated. The omelette was far too salty and not worth the price. Overall, the service was unfriendly and inflexible, and the food did not make up for it. I would not return or recommend this place, especially for tourist or English speaking. Meal type: Brunch Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
