Raku is a restaurant located in Takatsuki on Tondacho Street, offering a cozy atmosphere where patrons can unwind. Featuring the charm of an authentic izakaya, Raku serves a variety of delectable small plates complemented by an impressive selection of Japanese sake. Despite being primarily known as a standing bar, there are tables available, providing options for both solo diners and groups who might want to try negotiating a seat.
The staff at Raku have received mentions for their commendable service, though it is important to note that customer reviews are somewhat dated, with the most recent feedback coming from three years ago. Patrons have reflected positively on the inviting, home-style cooking atmosphere, although there's room for improvement in food presentation according to some. The establishment emphasizes traditional payment methods, accepting only cash. Its location and menu appear to have a strong local appeal, yet it remains minimally profiled across popular restaurant directories, excluding a brief presence on Google.
Raku operates Monday through Saturday, catering to evening diners with hours from 17:30 to 23:00. It offers dine-in services but no delivery option, which may limit accessibility, coupled with the absence of wheelchair-accessible features. Whether one is seeking simple table service or enjoying drinks at the bar, Raku stands out for its relaxed setting. However, lacking input from the restaurant management about recent updates might call for potential visitors to experience it firsthand for the latest insights.

This is an izakaya that can be said to be a place for locals to relax. There was a wide variety of Japanese sake on the menu, and the food was delicious. It's basically a standing bar, but there are table seats in the back, so Why not try negotiating with the people in your group?
