My wife and I were passing through and searched Google maps for a good place to have dinner. This restaurant looked promising, especially because it was rated 4.9 out of 5 stars, with over 300 reviews. Upon entering I noticed a help wanted sign, which should have been a red flag! There was one person in the kitchen cooking and one person handling everything else. We ordered a Tonkatsu Ramen, Pho bowl, Chashu bun and an order of Bao. We received our Ramen and Pho in a reasonable amount of time but the sides came out way later. I noticed the cook bring out the sides and set them on a counter without informing the young lady handling the FOH. She was busy taking phone orders and helping other customers at the register and didn't get our sides to us for about 10 to 15 minutes after they were placed on the counter. Needless to say they were cold when they were placed on the table. My Tonkatsu Ramen was definitely sub par in quality and overall flavor. It was barely over room temp, the pork belly was coated with something sweet and the noodles were definitely not house made nor were they even a good quality pre made Ramen. My wife's Pho was okay, flavor was decent and at least her bowl was steaming. Pho is a pretty basic dish so it was not surprising her dish was better than mine. When we inquired about a refund for the Bao, the young lady offered to reheat them but said that's all she could do. I would highly recommend an overall change in quality control by the kitchen before food is sent out with communication to the FOH staff being on the top of the list. Maybe some research and testing out additional recipes to provide better flavor profiles for the food. And ABSOLUTELY hire some more staff! Meal type: Dinner Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2

We had a great experience at Ramen Bay! Everything we ordered was so tasty and very fresh. You can really tell the ingredients are high quality. The staff were very nice, friendly, and helpful, which made the experience even better. They also have big separate tables, which are perfect for parties or gatherings with friends and family. I also fell in love with their bamboo spoons—such a nice and unique touch! The highlight for me was the boba tea. It was honestly the best one I’ve ever tried. We are only in the city for a couple of days, but we will definitely come back to get another tea before we leave.
