I used to be a huge fan of Raven's View and went there a lot as well as referred a ton of people there. Whenever I had out of town guests, that would be the first place I would take them. The views are beautiful, especially at sunset and the setting is so uniquely Arizona. However, the past few times I went, the food was just okay and their menu seems to keep on shrinking and they're removing items. And some of the menu items are not as they're described anymore; they've changed the preparation to make it less complex and definitely more ordinary without changing the description. A prime example is the white bean hummus. I don't even know that they make it with white beans anymore. And the service has declined significantly. Usually the wait staff is so friendly and they really get to know you, especially if you're a regular. The last couple times I've been there, the wait staff has been so overwhelmed because they're short-staffed that they can't be as attentive; they're visibly stressed. The last time I went was the worst. There were five of us that went there because they were having a a musician there that we really liked and was a great friend of ours. Five of us went and the server got one of the orders incorrect. When we brought this to her attention politely, she was snippy and refused to fix it. So then when I walked over and talked to a manager about it and the server saw me, she told the manager while standing right in front of our table that she refused to serve us anymore. Haven't been there since and don't plan to. Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 5

Nice outdoor experience in the cooler and higher altitude of Cave Creek. Limited menu but we went for lunch and realized this place is well known for its music scene and wine in the late afternoon and early evenings and the beautiful sunsets which we have enjoyed on previous visits.
