I’ve dined at many excellent restaurants in several countries, including Michelin three-star restaurants, but the ribeye here was the best steak I’ve ever had. It was incredibly flavorful and juicy from the very first bite, and it stayed that way until the last. Every bite was a wonderful experience. We asked how they prepared it, and our waitress kindly brought out the seasoning they use from the kitchen. However, I don’t believe the seasoning alone is the secret. It must come down to the chef’s deep understanding of how to grill a steak and their exceptional technique. If you visit this restaurant, you absolutely have to order the ribeye. Since I’m leaving Illinois, I probably won’t be able to come back anytime soon, but I sincerely hope to visit again someday. Sat at bar. Great drink. That’s it. 2nd round. Please stay. Cancel your reservation in dining . Stay here. We”ll. Take care of you. They did not. Made us feel we were taking regulars seats. After we gave up our reservation in the dining room. They eventually sat us in the corner. By the door. Tucked away. And served us ocean perch claiming it was lake perch. Served us talapia. Claiming it was grouper. You can’t do this. I asked for a manager and was given a bartender. Im writing about this place in an open forum, false information. I hate the false presentation. I want the food that I paid for. 38. Lake Victoria perch. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $100+ Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Looking to celebrate my daughter's birthday last night only to find that our original choice was closed due to maintenance. Looking for something else is close proximity, we located Raymes Steak &Fish House. I've never dined there before and it was packed on an early Friday evening. Since we didn't have reservations the wait would've been over an hour. However the waitress advised us that there was a small room away from the main dining area and on the other side of the bar if we were interested. Of course we were, and would've settled for most anything. Well, we didn't need to settle,as the small room offered had a round circular table was simply perfect. I believe it was a 12 X 12 room. It had a privacy curtain separating the room from the bar area and was very well suited for our small family birthday celebration. The service was great, and so was the food. There were four adults total, and combined we had a Slab of Ribs, Prime Rib, Half a Chicken, Pork Chop,with the choice of soup ( the New England Clam Chowder was amazing), salad, baked potato, tea, water, and appetizers of calamari and onion rings. The quality of the food was excellent and portions were very generous . We were very pleased with the services we recieved and thank Raymes Steak & Fish House for making our celebration a very pleasant one.
