Came here after seeing a few people online recommending it as a good spot that isn't frequent by a lot of tourists. Having just arrived in Napoli from Rome, we were a little wary of tourist trap restaurants. Re Lazzarone pacified all of our fears. Right from the start our waiter was incredibly friendly. For the prices we saw the options were surprisingly gourmet, with most dishes offering a slightly upscale twist on classic Italian dishes. We started with the fish cacio e pepe which came out with delightful plating. You could tell the ingredients were very fresh, they tasted so good. Next up was the Tuna Tataki, which was served in a smoky glass. The flavor was soooo good, the sauce complimented the tuna perfectly and the smoky flavor was prevalent in the dish. They even brought us out shots to end our night. Overall a wonderful experience. If you want to try some incredibly gourmet food at a fair price that's a little different from the typical neopolitan dishes I cannot recommend Re Lazzarone enough. Beautiful prawn linguine - rich and full of flavour! We also got one entree for free. I think there was a mixup but they didn’t charge us. A great gesture.
