I’m a regular at Reading Quality Fish in Reading and have generally liked their fish, but the quality has recently been disappointing, especially for expensive fish like Silver Pomfret. On my last purchase, the fish had turned pale yellow and smelled strongly of drainage water when I opened the packaging. The fish-cutting service also needs improvement, as staff often cut the fish into small pieces despite clear instructions to only remove the head and tail. I hope management looks into the freshness, stock rotation and staff training, as customers buying expensive fish should be able to trust the quality.
