Finally got a chance to try this place out. It was quiet and we had the place to ourselves at first, probably because it was a it early for dinner. But it worked in our favor as we were able to pick the owners brain a little and inquire about some of his favorite dishes etc. We ended up ordering a variety of things and eating several courses. Starting with the wood ear mushrooms (excellent). Then the pickled cabbage soup with fish, beef and broccoli ramen, followed by braised pork belly. I have to say honestly this was a top 5 meal for me. My dinner partner agreed. Don't be fooled by the humble setting, the food here is legit. Whoever made this dinner knows there stuff. We will definitely be back! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30

We noticed this place near our hotel so we decided to walk over and give it a try. We were greeted and the staff member seated us and explained that he needed to go pick up his child from school. We told him that we could leave and come back, but he said it was OK and quickly took our order. Then he left. Another staff member brought water. The food came out fairly quick. The food was delicious. We were the only ones there, but felt like we were rushed. It may have just been an "off" day so we plan to go back. Again, I want to say that the food was quite tasty.
