Just popped in for a quick tea with a friend and was so pleasantly surprised. I had fish and chips and it was lovely. Really fresh, meaty haddock with a thin batter coating which was not greasy at all. The chips and mushy peas were lovely too. I often avoid fish and chips in pubs as feel it is always very disappointing. Not the case here. My friend had burger and she said that was lovely too. Generous portions. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. They didn't offer iced coffees which I appreciate is an odd choice for a pub but she said she would make one for me anyway. It was very nice. Will definitely go back and would recommend. We had a lovely meal at Red Hawk, Brough. The service was friendly and professional and the food was delicious. We also loved the variety in the kids menu and the different size options. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Price per person: £10–20
