Hi Niki, Thank you for your feedback- glad to hear you at least enjoyed the ambiance and service. While we are aware we can't make everyone happy all the time, I'm sorry we fell short of your expectations on the food front. I would however like to note that all our food is made from scratch in house, and there is zero usage of "velveeta" or anything similar in our macaroni and cheese. Unsure where you got that idea, but it is absolutely and completely untrue. Unfortunately, I can't speak to the other "details, or lack thereof" that you mentioned, as we approach each dish with thought, care, and intention. Without further specifics, I would not know what concerns to address. All this aside, we understand not every restaurant is for everyone, but I did want to point out the inaccuracy in your initial review. Hope you join us for a drink if not food again soon!

Hi Mark-Thank you for your feedback on your experience, and my apologies that you were unimpressed with your experience. However, I do have a couple of clarifying points to make in response. First and foremost, we are not a "Take Out" spot. We are a small, scratch kitchen restaurant with our focus primarily and deliberately on our guests dining in-house. As such, and because of the small footprint of our kitchen, we do not take orders over the phone or online. And in general, the wait for food will be right around the 10-20 minute mark (depending on what you order), provided you don't come in the middle of the dinner rush on a Saturday, in which case it will absolutely take longer. Unfortunately, this was the case in your visit, thus the longer wait time. Once again, we are not a take out spot, and while we always do our best to get *all* orders out as quickly as possible, we do prioritize seated guests, and we are not fast food or quick-service food. As your other points: As for our chicken breast add on, it is 6 oz prior to cooking. While some weight does cook out, I regretfully believe 2.5 oz to be inaccurate. The credit card surcharge is hardly a surprise- It is posted in the window by the entrance, on every menu, and on the receipt you are presented at payment. I would like to add, this does not even cover the cost of credit card fees (like American Express, the one you paid with, that affords holders many benefits in part because of the rates they charge merchants) They can also be avoided by paying in cash or with debit, but then you would not receive the rebate because we work with American Express and Resy. To be completely frank, and I apologize for any bluntness- complaining about a minimal credit card surcharge that allows a small independent restaurant to continue operations on what is essentially a free meal seems in rather poor taste. Once again, my apologies for missing the mark on your takeout- I hope you can join us in the future for a seated meal where we can fully focus on your experience dining with us.
