A traditional local pub, great choice of drinks, brew their own beers, always worth a try. Food is excellent, and the Sunday Carvery always worth having.

Stayed at the Red Lion for 4 nights and also had dinner there 1 night. The fish and chips I had were really good, very good chips. The breakfast was lovely and all the staff were really friendly. The bed was also very comfortable. The rooms are above a pub so noise was at expected levels (I didn't have any issues going to sleep! Didn't need to use my earplugs. I did go weekdays) I would definitely recommend to others, and if I decide to come back to Matlock I would definitely stay again.
