This place is a lot bigger than I thought especially for the little corner it’s on. I ordered some of the Japanese side of stuff and some of the Chinese. Both legit. I’m vegan and even before saying anything based on my order they asked if I wanted to take the egg out. Didn’t realize there was eggs and most places wouldn’t have mentioned. Bar is a good size and they had the NBA finals on if you’re into sports. Espresso martini was actually really good. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Red Maple is a must-visit Chinese restaurant in Silver Spring, MD—I had an outstanding meal there. The Mongolian beef was rich, savory, and cooked just right with bold, well-balanced flavor. The egg roll was crisp and fresh, and the pork dumplings were tender with a great filling. The chicken satay stood out with its rich, well-seasoned taste, and the fried rice tied everything together perfectly. Service was just as impressive. The waitress was friendly and attentive, and the restaurant itself was clean and well-kept inside. The food delivery was fast, which made the whole experience even better. Easily a 5-star meal. I came in an hour before closing, knowing exactly what I wanted. The host/server looked confused I was there. Once sat at the bar, the bartender forgot my drink and proceeded to cut and eat oranges behind the bar. Once she remembered, she gave me a heavy head beer (see photo). The magic chicken was flavorful, rice was cooked well. Service was poor. I wasn't the only person in the establishment. Was looking for a quick, flavorful meal and a light beer after a 20 hour day.
