Over very many years we have visited the Red Rose restaurant. Although we have visited nearly all Indian restaurants in & around Reading over a 30+ year period the Red Rose has always been our no. 1 choice - why, simple, the food has, without fail, delivered on taste, authenticity & presentation. The Red Rose has seen numerous owners over the years with different owners & staff. The current owner/manager & staff couldn’t be more welcoming, friendly but professional. The current owner/manager is an incredible host & entertained us all evening with some Asian jokes. We visited twice in a single week, first visit was with family members, the smaller second visit was with just my wife & daughter. On both occasions we were served by a quite smiling very attentive young waiter who has worked at the Red Rose for several years, couldn’t have had any better service! Food, we had approx. 10 different dishes (mains & sides), each one with their own distinct taste & cooked to perfection. Thanks to the guys in the kitchen who obviously know what they are doing & obviously care about what leaves the kitchen via the trolley. So, does the Red Rose deserve a 5* review - definitely not! Does the Red Rose deserve a 10* review - most definitely! Ps. The bill lists all the dishes served along with its price. No service charge is added - my personal pet hate, prefer to leave a tip based on experience of the occasion. Pps. Absolutely amazing Indian food and the customer service was beyond expectations. The staff were very accommodating and helpful and attentive to detail. It was a pleasure to be there and enjoy the atmosphere. It was a birthday celebration and we couldn’t be any more happier how it was done. I would very highly recommend visiting.
