Coconuts Flea Market in Margate, FL recently opened and had a Food Truck Rally to help kick it off. Along with a DJ spinning music, there were nine (9) food trucks to choose from. We really have been to some great Food Truck events over the years and we found a few at this event that stood out. Red Zeppelin Rockin’ Lobster Roll The truck is one you can’t miss, red with “Lobster” flags waving in the wind. We’ve heard some good things about Red Zeppelin Food Truck and who doesn’t like lobster Service was fast and friendly and the wait from the time we ordered was under 5 minutes. Lobster Roll drizzled with Bisque ($14). This was probably one of the better lobster rolls we’ve had in South Florida. We think they even beat the one we had on the NCL Getaway at Iron Chef Geoffrey Zakarian’s restaurant. Red Zeppelin used large chunks of lobster meat and a claw was even in tact! It was tender and fresh with just enough mayo. There wasn’t too much celery either, so you could really taste the lobster. The roll was lightly toasted on the inside but soft on the outside. The slaw was dressed with apple vinegar and lightly seasoned. It was freshly made too, with a nice crunch. BC Taco We’ve reviewed BC Taco in the past HERE and since we like them so much, we had to hit them again. Ordering was a breeze and our order took all of 5 minutes. Pig Wings ($10). Chinese BBQ pig wings with Asian slaw and chips. So what do you think pig wings are If you said huge meaty, lean ribs then you’d be correct. They take the meat off of one side of the bone to make a ‘handle’ of sort, which makes it resemble a wing. These had to be the meatiest pork ribs I’ve had and they were fall off of the bond tender without being dry. The Chinese BBQ sauce was awesome with just the right amount of 5-spice and garlic for us. The Asian slaw was a bit overdressed, but had great flavor. These ‘pig wings’ were so good, we hope that BC Café has them on the menu! Waffle Pops Waffle P
