Highly recommended. The Red Snapper Talalla is a new, cozy and family run restaurant. We had a whoke fish (red snapper) there and it was super fresh, tasty and the prices are more then reasonable. The people working there are very kind and the atmosphere is super nice and relaxed. It's a little hidden but it's well indicated by signs. Don't follow Google Maps but take the road either from the beach side or big main road. When in Talalla definitly go there and enjoy a lunch or dinner. Red Snapper is such a hidden gem! It’s run by such a lovely friendly Sri Lankan family and the food is honestly delicious. It’s a super cute and cosy atmosphere and if you are lucky you will get to see their Labrador dog Charlie. There’s lots to choose from, not just fish but chicken and veggie options too. Traditional home made Sri Lanka comfort food. It’s fairly priced and worth the trip especially if you’d like to visit Talalla beach which is a 5 minute walk away. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: Rs 1,000–2,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian options: Curry’s rice or noodles

We went in the evening which is best for the atmosphere. We had a full fish and it was really great. The chips were also amazing and handmade. New restaurant. Hope they do well. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner
