We visited the Redbud Café on a hot day, looking for a place to cool off with a toddler in tow. While we did enjoy the ice cream and pre-packaged cookies, the overall experience was very disappointing. The customer service was comparable to walking into someone’s home uninvited — completely unwelcoming, with staff who seemed uninterested and indifferent to guests being there. It was uncomfortable and made us feel like a burden rather than customers. The other food on the menu looked good and was priced as you’d expect for a café in a popular location. Unfortunately, the poor service overshadowed everything else. The Gathering Place itself is incredible and worth every visit, but the Redbud Café needs serious attention — whether that’s better training or new employees altogether. Hopefully improvements are made, because right now, I wouldn’t recommend stopping in. Price per person: $1–10 Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
