The four of us were excited to enjoy an evening at Redd based on the reviews. Part of the party wanted to sit outside and made the request. We are not sure why that people who appeared to come after were seated first. So we waited at chairs until another outdoor table opened. It was also interesting that those same people that took the table ended up moving to another table. The restaurant was slammed busy. We saw several tables open and we were eventually seated. Then menu for me was ok. I appreciated that that som asked us about the wine that we selected to make sure it was the right one. Because they were busy or something happened in the kitchen but with a long delay they gave us a salad at first. I noticed the ham so i did not try it and i got the impression the others weren’t impressed since it remained mostly uneaten. They also brought out a cheese pizza about 8” cut in four. That was tasty. Eventually the food came out. The beet and peach appetizer tasted like watermelon and was overall tasty. I got a chicken dish. It was ok. Nothing very flavorful. It wasn’t bad but not worth me taking home leftovers. I get it that it was busy and I appreciate the attempt to feed us so we weren’t going too hungry. The butterscotch dessert was tasty. For a one off visit, it was a miss for us. It was a nice location and they did start the outdoor fire-pit while we waited for the table. With all the stellar reviews, I would try them again to see if this was normal or we had an unexpected experience. I did not take any photos since nothing impressed me enough.
