Reds Midtown Tavern is pretty near Yonge Street. Explore the world of Argentine cuisine here. The cooks here prepare good spaghetti carbonara, ravioli and truffle fries. We ordered from Reds - through Skip the dishes - next time we will pick it up to respect the restaurant more. I was so pleasantly surprised at how good some of the dishes were! I did not expect much from a 40$ steak - delivered - but it was actually really good - and it came with side dishes! I ordered the striploin, medium rare - I would say it was a tad over but still really good - and quite large! Their fries are amazing, their mash amazing, there side veggies AMAZING. The bread with honey butter - omg! The calamari dish (its actually a misto dish on their menu) - I would not do again (sorry guys) - tiny tiny scraps of squid and battered lemon and zucchini - it wasn't great. The cob salad - lovely. The butter chicken - too sweet and not quite enough chunk to the chicken (add a few bucks to the costs and slightly less sweet - you are golden) or take it off the menu. Indian food critics would not pass the dish. They included some complimentary butter tarts (thank you!) and they are INSANE good - wow! Their mushroom side - amazing! Overall wow - so good and packaged so beautifully. Do over for sure!

I’ve used Google “Restaurants near me” many times. This time my wife and I were staying at the Chelsea Hotel and one of the restaurants that appeared was REDS Midtown Tavern, so off we went for a three minute walk. We were greeted warmly by a friendly hostess and shown to a quiet table towards the rear. My wife ordered the Harvest Bowl which she really loved. I chose the Reds Burger with a green salad, a very tasty choice. The portions were extremely generous and service was excellent throughout our meal. Also the prices were fair for downtown Toronto. I will definitely be returning to REDS Midtown Tavern even if It’s not “Near Me.”
