Good 'old fashioned kiwi pub. Friendly staff and excellent, tasty meals! The daily specials are particularly good value!

We had a great stay at the Dawson's Hotel and the hospitality of the owner can't be overstated. E. g. we arrived late in the evening, way past the official check-in time and the owner drove to the hotel to greet us and get us into our room. The rooms are great value for the money and very clean. The restaurant served super yummy, locally sourced and cooked food and the staff was very friendly. The icing on the cake was the extra mile the owner and his team went, once they realized that I left my watch in the hotel. He called right away and made sure that it got shipped to Germany. I can highly recommend this hotel.
