Overall a good restaurant. There is some kind of oil in the food that makes me go to the bathroom, for a while I became dependant on it, I will still eat here just less often because of this. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Rego Park Cafe is a decent medium size diner. Like most diners, they serve breakfast all day and their menu is very extensive with the choices of cuisine mainly being American (all kinds of sandwiches, burgers, meatloaf, soup, salad), Greek, Mexican and Italian. My friend and I ordered some gyro platters and the portions were very generous. They gave us a lot of french fries and salad. They were a little stingy on the gyro meat, but the overall amount of food was fair for the price. Service was very quick too. And for those who are too curious, they are following covid safety guidelines. Temperatures are being taken at the door and tables have been separated to ensure they maintain the mandated 25% occupancy. Ever since long time neighborhood staple Shalimar Diner closed down, this is your best bet for a passable diner.
