This hotel and restaurant were the highlight of our trip to Garmiche. Every night that we ate here we had exceptional service. EXCEPTIONAL FOOD. I am vegan, and they came up with a balanced vegan meal for me every evening. I sincerely will miss this place. Tonight we ate at the Taj Mahal and we had such terribly slow service w bad food. Man did I regret not coming to the Reindl.

Upscale restaurant inside of our hotel. They seemed to very much prefer reservations, even though the restaurant was fairly empty all three nights we stayed here. Regional menu items all very skillfully prepared. Lots of wild game options, which I loved. We dined here to celebrate my wife's birthday while on vacation. They have a four course chef's tasting menu which is probably the way to go. The ox carpaccio, cucumber melon soup and pan roasted venison were all wonderful. Prices were a bit high, but the food was excellent. Save room for the crepes Suzette, prepared table side.

Delicious meal. We were served a bread basket accompanied by butter, sea salt and duck fat which was unique and interesting. We tried it but it was very rich and not something we enjoyed. My friend and I had the beet soup and for an entree the duck which was expertly prepared. My husband who is vegan had a nice salad and they prepared a vegetable plate which was good although I think there was some butter used. It was a nice upscale restaurant with good service. I think the owner recommended a very good reasonably priced red wine. I would recommend it for a nicer evening.
