Booked a room for two adults and two kids (gave ages at booking, both too old to bed share) and arrived to a room with a queen bed and a single bed. Fold out sofa was offered for second child but staff refused to give us bedding for it. Ended up stating that booking was made for four people and we required the additional bedding. Eventually, over two hours later, someone came to deliver us a set of sheets, a pillow and a blanket. We requested that the bed be made and the lady complained at us that she didn’t even work for the motel! The entire situation felt incredibly uncomfortable and the motel was so poorly run. Apparently we were to “consider ourselves lucky” as most of the rooms didn’t even have heating, according to the person who delivered the bedding, despite us staying in the middle of winter. The actual staff were incredibly rude and accomodation was definitely not as promoted. Do yourself a favour and book somewhere (ANYWHERE!) else!

Two months ago we booked a one bedroom family suite directly with the motel - I had gone to book on booking.com but I called to ask if our camper trailer could be accommodated and whilst on the phone the lady took my booking - she took all our details including our credit card details and booked the room at $140 - I provided my email address and asked for a confirmation to which I was told I would receive one in the next cpl of days as they were quite busy at the time of my call Fast forward to 2 days out from our stay - I have called to reconfirm our booking only to be told that they have no record of our booking (I was advised this was due to unreliable relief staff whilst they were away ) and our room is no longer available - a bigger room would be available but we would need to pay the full rate of the bigger room - regardless of the fact that they “processed” my booking two months ago and they have admitted that their staff have made the mistake - a very upsetting end to our holiday - extremely unimpressed with the service we have received from the Rest Point Motel Glen Innes
