Restaurant du Creux-de-Genthod embodies true luxury and fine dining, a sentiment we embraced during a celebratory family dinner for my brother's birthday. The velouté d'artichauts, a creamy artichoke soup crowned with Swiss cream cheese, set the stage for an extraordinary culinary experience. For the main course, my brother relished the filet de boeuf—a perfectly medium rare beef adorned with a delightful mushroom sauce, grilled vegetables, and creamy polenta. My salmon entree, accompanied by a refreshing marinade, and a side of excellent mushroom risotto, contributed to the excellent variety of flavors. Mom's choice, the un Oeuf parfait, delivered a creamy and light delight, followed by a classic filet de pêrche with crispy fries—a Geneva specialty. Dad and I both opted for the salmon entrees, while he indulged in the Christmas specialty, lièvre royale—a tender, medium rare meat in a wine-infused sauce with grilled vegetables and parsnip puree. Despite the elevated prices, the culinary excellence at Restaurant du Creux-de-Genthod proved worth every penny. The intimate and cozy ambiance seamlessly matched the luxurious aesthetic, making our dining experience memorable and truly fine - finely recommended!
