Exceptional Food and Unmatched Hospitality My partner and I visited Restaurant Istanbul in Utrecht on a Friday evening, and it was an absolutely flawless dining experience from start to finish. If you are looking for an intimate, vibrant evening with incredible Turkish cuisine, this is the place to be. The Highlight: Unbeatable Service While everything about the night was wonderful, the absolute standout was the staff. From the moment we walked in, we were showered with warmth and attentive care. The hospitality felt incredibly personal. The staff shared their true passion for their food, coffee and culture with us, which made the evening feel incredibly special. A particular highlight was the wine recommendation, the staff took the time to suggest a pairing that perfectly complemented our meal, showing a level of expertise and care that you don’t find everywhere. The restaurant strikes the perfect balance between lively and intimate. The interior is beautiful, featuring gorgeous, tasteful Turkish details that give the space authentic character without feeling overwhelming. The background music was curated perfectly, it fit the environment beautifully, adding to the Turkish richness of the evening without being too loud, allowing for great conversation. The culinary experience matched the high standard of the service. Every dish was packed with authentic, deep flavors. We ordered meat dishes, köfte, börek, kadayif and the execution was flawless the lamb was cooked perfectly, incredibly tender, and beautifully seasoned. You can taste the tradition and quality in every single bite. Restaurant Istanbul doesn't just serve great food; they deliver a complete experience. It is rare to find a place where the staff's passion shines through so clearly in both the hospitality and the cooking. We had a fantastic Friday night and will absolutely be returning. Really great food at this place. I had chicken for a starter, beef for main, and profiteroles for dessert. All were really tasty! The service was also very nice. The only downside: inside was extremely hot. The air conditioning wasn't working. Luckily, some people left and we were able to move outside. After that, it was a great experience. Would definitely go back. Just hope the AC is fixed by then. Price per person: €40–50 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Vegetarian options: Plenty in the starters. One main course dish
