Just a really pleasant atmosphere in a nice building. The food is honest and the owners are exceptionally hospitable. Made for a really pleasant start to our Swiss holiday. Worth the 5 minute walk from Novotel for a peaceful beer and an escalope or a family dinner. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Having arrived late at our hotel a few minutes walk away, we were really pleased to see the Restaurant Laufeneck was still open. When we walked in there were no other customers and we thought we may get turned around as it was getting late, but no. The staff were were welcoming, friendly and attentive and took the time to go though the food, wines and beers with us. The food was really good, clearly freshly cooked and the portion size was generous. Finished things off with a really nice glass of pear Brandy which in all our travels is probably the nicest local spirit I've had. Anyway thoroughly recommend the place and thanks once again to the staff for welcoming a pair of hungry travellers! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Order type: Dine in Price per person: CHF 50–60
