An app found this place and counts calories from my plate photos. The meat was good, had enough protein, and fit my daily goal. It did not taste like diet food at all. The room was quiet and service was professional. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I recently took my husband here for a birthday lunch and what an amazing experience it was. We had the lunch tasting menu, with wine pairing and artisan cheeses, and everything was absolutely fantastic. The flavour combinations, the presentation, the service - everything was just incredible! We also really liked that the chef came out and shared some insight into the dishes and flavours. I would highly recommend Restaurant Roots for an occasion or if you are just looking for a fabulous meal. We can’t wait to come back, most likely for the beef wellington! We had the tasting menu at Roots in Bournemouth and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. Every course was beautifully presented, full of flavour, and clearly showcased the care and creativity that goes into the menu. What really made the evening special was the personal touch. The chef came out to speak with us at length, explaining the dishes and sharing his passion for the ingredients and the restaurant. It's a family-run restaurant, and that warmth and hospitality shine through. The chef and his wife were both incredibly friendly, welcoming and genuinely made us feel like valued guests rather than just customers. If you're looking for exceptional food combined with a relaxed, personal dining experience, I can't recommend Roots highly enough. We'll definitely be returning.
