HOTEL 4/5 - RESTAURANT 1/5 Hotel located in a beautiful place, in the middle of the mountains away from the town. We reached it with a horse-drawn carriage (optional extra), as it cannot be reached by car but only on foot or with their shuttle/carriage. We had a suite for 4 people, good although not excellent, with spectacular views from the windows. At night we went out to admire the stars with the moon illuminating the entire snowy valley, truly beautiful. Good breakfast but not with much choice (since there are few people staying, it's important that they don't pack too much stuff or it would have to be thrown away). Unfortunately there was a small unexpected event as soon as we arrived, we opened the room and found everything flooded to the floor. They sent 3 people to mop up and within 20 minutes they had solved the problem for us. On the morning of returning to the village the shuttle is at 10:00 and is on "reservation", the fact is that they confirm to all the guests that they have booked the shuttle, but in the end you find yourself with 15 people outside to get on a shuttle which contains 7 seats, and therefore many remain still waiting. On this side, they are disorganized, they should improve. Now it's the restaurant's turn. If you have the slightest bit of taste, and common sense about finances, avoid it like the plague. Unfortunately, staying there you have no other choice as it is in the middle of nowhere, but if I had known beforehand I would have rather brought something from Pontresina to eat in the room. Very high prices and not all good. We had a mixed cold cuts platter, onion soup with cheese toast, raclette with potatoes and pickles, and tagliatelle with venison ragout. The cutting board was the only good thing that survived. The onion soup, edible, was accompanied by two very small croutons with a sauce on top. And what would the cheese toast be? Raclette, it wasn't the one freshly heated from the wheel and spread on a potato, but cheese clearly warmed in the microwave with crispy edges (do you think I'm expecting too much? Well it costs more than €30, I certainly didn't imagine that stuff). The tagliatelle were overcooked, lacked salt and weren't even with ragù, let alone venison, but they slapped on some coarse pieces of steak (in my opinion beef), accompanied by currants and a sour salad (what the fuck) *or did they have anything to do with the dish?!). I'll post photos to demonstrate this. We didn't even try the second courses as they were very expensive, no less than €50 per dish, and we did well considering how much we ate before. Very high menu prices, which in Italy you find in 1-2 Michelin star restaurants, but here you eat badly. As for wine, you can't find a bottle below €45 In conclusion, if you want accommodation in a beautiful place surrounded by peace, absolutely come here. If you also want to eat well, give up Rooms: 4 Service: 2 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Great view, Quiet

We stayed here for 1 night at the beginning of January and had dinner and breakfast. During the day we went on a snowshoe tour from the hotel. The Hotel Roseg-Gletscher offers the only comfortable overnight accommodation in the magnificent Val Roseg landscape in winter. We remember the following as particularly positive: the possibility of checking into the room early and the two-time taxi service from Pontresina train station to the hotel and back at night (at no additional cost), the plentiful and varied breakfast When the weather is nice, you can expect numerous day visitors.
