Very nice small family restaurant in the medina. We really enjoyed our dinner here. The atmosphere is simple but very authentic. The food was very good: the harira was tasty and comforting, the beef tajine well cooked and full of flavor, and the chicken pastilla with rice was really delicious, with a perfect mix of sweet and savory. We had a really lovely experience here talking to the waiter and really enjoyed our food. HOWEVER I have to caution you against drinking the “avocado milk.” Unfortunately it caused terrible stomach issues for me, i’m currently 24 hours in and still really struggling. My mom who was with me had all of the food except the avocado milk and is doing totally fine. My body may also just not be reacting well to it while others are able to drink it just fine. But if you are a foreigner, I would really caution you from trying it both here and elsewhere. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: MAD 50–100 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Everything was cut and made as fresh as can be, hence why the food was so good. I don’t know many restaurants in Fez that deserve a 5-star rating and an extra tip as much as restaurant Yacout. Great prices, a very young, caring, talented cook and sublime service. Restaurant Yacout is easy to overlook, but what a mistake that would be. Kind Regards.
