This is my family’s second time to stay at this hotel. It is a quality-built older hotel. The elevator works great. Service attitude was helpful. Everything is spaciously and comfortable arranged (unlike the newer and cramp places I've been). There's an outdoor seating area. I recommend providing shading. It's so nice outside in the morning. We were disappointed in the food at the restaurant. We ordered the cream of poblano soup, fettuccine pasta in Alfredo sauce, and seared snapper with vegetables and rice. We enjoyed the soup, but the pasta and snapper were TERRIBLE. The pasta had a strange flavor that was not enjoyable. Our 10-year-old ordered it for himself. He didn't like it, neither did we. We left it uneaten at the table. The snapper smelled so bad that we sent it back. The chef is responsible for the recipe selection of food served to guests. It seems the chef doesn't know how certain types of food should taste. I surmised this by how the fettuccine Alfredo tasted. The texture was off, as well as the flavor. And also, presentation can be a lot better on any of the food we ordered. It's possible that the kitchen staff didn't store or prepare the snapper properly, but it's still the chef's responsibility if bad food gets to the customer. I hope the owner and management of the hotel see my post as an opportunity to improve the hotel in an area that matters to the guests. After a long day of traveling, it would be nice to eat in the comfort of the hotel I'm staying. I'm definitely staying again at the Hotel Mirage. I hope the restaurant will offer better foods by the time I come back. Dear Owner: The restaurant can generate a lot of revenue for you. Many restaurants make money in challenging conditions. If they can do it, you can too. You have guests who will naturally want to eat at the hotel. The restaurant can become famous for its food so guests from other hotels will dine at your restaurant, creating an opportunity for you to earn their stay for the future. You have capital investment in the restaurant already. You only need to work on the food offerings. I took time to write this long review because I want your hotel to succeed. I know competition is intense in the hospitality industry. There are many things right about the Hotel Mirage. I hope to enjoy dining at the restaurant next time I visit. Service: 5
