I have removed stars because my rating is not the same since the change in management. Prices have gone up a lot and the Plácido restaurant (previously a reference in terms of quality and different offerings) has been replaced by one with more of the same. For me, a shame.

We are regular customers of the Hotel Carril cafeteria in Carril (Vilagarcía de Arousa), where we have been going during the summer for several years. This morning, after a few months without going, we went for a drink on the terrace of the cafeteria. On the table there was a small sign warning that they temporarily did not have table service and that you had to order at the bar. That's why I went to the bar to request my order. The waiter (whom I knew since he was one of the establishment's regulars) told me that the hotel had changed owners and that they were adapting to numerous changes, and that at the moment they did not have table service, so he helped me the drinks at the bar and I myself had to take them to the terrace table with a tray. Furthermore, when I was paid, I realized that the usual prices they had with the previous company have increased by more than 40%. This situation seems frankly regrettable to me. First of all, the sign on the table said that you had to place the order at the bar, but never that it should be the customer themselves who brought the drink to the table. It implied that even if the order was placed at the counter, it would be served by cafeteria staff at the table. In fact, while we were in the establishment, another customer who was carrying a tray with several drinks dropped several of them when he lost his balance while going down the stairs to the terrace, which is not strange on the other hand, since he had probably never I would have carried a loaded tray. Secondly, it seems unpresentable to me that a hotel that is supposed to have 4 stars opens a cafeteria terrace if it does not have (for whatever reason) the staff to attend to it correctly. And, thirdly, given the service they have provided us (and I am certainly not talking at all about their staff who, as usual, have behaved in a friendly and very professional manner), the price seems like a steal to me. that I have had to pay.
