I made a reservation at this restaurant more than a month in advance for my birthday and even received a confirmation message two days before my visit. When I arrived at the scheduled time, I discovered that the restaurant had been completely rearranged for a “Herring Party” event. Despite having a confirmed reservation, I was told that there was no proper table available for us. The only option offered was an undressed table in a corner at the back of the restaurant, with a very limited menu consisting only of a cheese platter and white wine. What was most disappointing was the complete lack of apology or effort to accommodate us. Instead, I was simply told that I could leave if I wanted. Since it was my birthday and most other restaurants were already fully booked, this left us with very few alternatives and turned what should have been a special evening into a major disappointment. For a restaurant of this level, I expected much better customer service and professionalism. Mistakes can happen, but the way this situation was handled was unacceptable.
