Food at Rex Cream
The picture of Rex Cream’s food and interior

You can have tasty misir at Rex Cream. According to the reviewers' opinions, waiters serve nicely cooked gelato and good coconut ice cream here. If you look through the guests' comments, the staff is professional at this place. Fine service is something clients appreciate here. Expect the quiet atmosphere at this spot. But google users rated Rex Cream and it didn't receive a high rating.

We’ve tried Rex cream’s second location. My kids were disappointed with the shop. First off all, we couldn’t try any samples. How can you try unique flavors without sampling if you are not familiar with the taste. Secondly, small sign in the store stated eat outside not indoors. As a tourist, I’m not sure how to describe my experience. Not friendly!!! I will say, this shop is not a friendly stop in the town. Definitely, not returning with kids here.

We do apologize if your experience was not as expected. Just to make sure you visited a Rex Cream we own. Which town did you visit? In our location we do not have any sign that states that you have to consume your ice cream outside. I hope you can give us another opportunity in the future.

What terrible service! (Cayey) The employee was unfriendly and not welcoming at all. After asking if they gave samples of the flavors, (which they don’t) she seemed annoyed that I couldn’t make up my mind on what flavor I wanted. The strawberry flavor was good, the lemon flavor was excellent but the cookies and cream flavor was gross. It tasted like tap water. I asked to add mix-ins to my ice cream but after I took a little longer, she changed her mind and only allowed me to pick the flavor with no mix-ins. At this point, I wanted to leave but I HAD to buy something because the minimum charge for a credit card is $10. The worst part is that she didn’t even try to make the ice cream into a ball shape so my daughter and niece’s ice cream were thrown on top of their cone while it was dripping all over. When I asked for a cup and spoon, once again, it was a burden for her. Just as a note: They do not accept ATH móvil. My total came out to $8.50 and I’m glad she charged my card and didn’t require me to buy more because it would’ve gone in the trash. This was a disappointing experience considering how lovely the atmosphere in the plaza was. I would not recommend this place, I will not be returning, and I am sharing my experience with my family who live in Cayey.
