This was the best meal we’ve had on our month long holiday in Japan. I fear we’ve peaked. The QR code wasn’t working so with our limited Japanese and some google translate we settled on the 5 course set menu which was a bloody steal first of all! The meat was tender and juicy had a beautiful char that high end restaurants can only DREAM of achieving! We then had a rice taco (sorry layman’s terms) but again the char and overall flavour profile was out of this world. We reordered a few more skewers from the set menu because they were that good! All the while the staff were attentive, caring and really tried hard to bridge the language barrier. We then had the sashimi which was absolutely amazing. At the end of our meal after paying the wait staff and chef came out to say goodbye and we thanked them profusely and after a few photos we bid farewell. This place is a MUST for Yamaguchi locals as well as visitors who enjoy a beautiful aesthetic, wonderful staff and beautiful food! Thank you Ricky team, we WILL be back!
