While the chocolate peanut cluster and chocolate peanut butter pretzel were tasty, they were ridiculously expensive. The taffy was THE WORST I've ever had (and I'm in my 60s). It tasted like alcohol and super fake flavoring. At a whopping $32.00 per pound (you read that right... taffy and chocolate $32.00 per pound), it should have been the best. Also... not much selection.

I brought several kids by today to pick out some treats, and one kid has a few allergies. I was hunting for something safe for them and noticed their bars had no ingredients listed, so I asked the staff what was in their chocolate (dark chocolate bar, for example). She said "I can't tell you that." I followed up, explaining that a kid had allergies and needed to find something safe, so I was curious if there was dairy in a product. She responded that their milk chocolate had milk. When I asked about their dark chocolate, she said "if you have allergies, maybe it's best not to get anything". So then I asked about soy, if a specific product contains soy, and she said again, "I can't tell you that". We left promptly, went across the street to Sugar Mommas, and found safe treats for all the kids. Never in my life have I encountered such an incompetent and unfriendly person. They really didn't seem to want to sell anything so I guess it worked out for them. Obviously we will never be back, but also I'll be reporting them for violating safe reporting laws that requires disclosure of all ingredients/allergens in food in the state of Missouri. If you own this shop, you might want to train your staff on policy and work on basic decorum.

Went to Ricky's Chocolate Box last week and had the German Turtles and black walnut turtles. My husband had several other chocolate treats. They were delicious. The clerk was friendly and helpful.
