Great night was spent at this venue during a scooter event of a few hundred scooterists. Bar was pleasant in old style surroundings, staff were polite even though obviously rushed off their feet. Free chip cobs were handed out, and they had large screen TVs showing horse racing. Toilets were a let down but were In constant use. Price per person: £1–10 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

When you go out for Sunday Lunch you expect the food to be as good as you would cook for youself or even better, well we have just had our dinner at The Rifle Volunteer and it was wonderful, home made yorkshire puddings and roast potatoes also home made. The beef was so tender. We would defy anybody to find a better sunday lunch anywhere for the price. We also had apple pie & custard. All this for £12 for the two of us!!! Fabulous and will definitely do it again....Well done Diane and the staff xx
