After enjoying Mishima Shrine, go to this restaurant which is not far away. Rikiō offers you to try good miso ramen, char siu and misir. The competent staff welcomes visitors all year round. The ramen here is quite tasty. I had signature deluxe with all the toppings. I believe it was pork based shoyu. It was quite tasty and went well with the thick noodles. My wife had the oyster based broth and it was the best I’ve tried in my limited experience with oyster based ramen. Very fishy taste so if you don’t like that stick with the signature ramen. The deluxe comes with chicken meatballs. We had to wait in line for about 15-20 minutes. It went by quickly. Like many ramen places in Japan they have a ticketing machine to place your order. Inside the shop was clean and modern. Lots of sumo wrestler signatures on the wall. So yes, the bowls are large. I would recommend trying rikio if you happen to be in the Tenri area. Additional info: I was getting a haircut and the barber said the owner of this spot use to be a sumo wrestler which explains all of the signatures on the wall.
