Beware of scam. Not for the cooking itself but for the final bill. Arriving as a family (3 children under 10) a little late, we asked for simple tomato pasta to be sure to please them. Charged €20 per plate, more expensive than a fish or other dish. Desserts displayed at 5€ and billed at 7€.. plus an antipasti counted on top of that... They said they hadn't paid attention when I asked for it.. In short, it's still low season, the customer is worried rare so they make up for those who are there and who are charmed by the atmosphere of the old town, and less attentive to the rest. Advice, go your way and try less touristy restaurants. We found some very good ones, not necessarily in the old town. The location is very nice, characteristic with its stone arches that separate the rooms, intimate and well heated. Undecided in choosing the dishes, we let ourselves be guided by the owner who immediately proved to be very kind, helpful, and with her professionalism she helped us discover some delicious typical Alghero dishes.
