Came on a recommendation, but it turned out to be average food with a touristy feel. Despite being told 7:30 PM was the only slot left, the restaurant was empty when we arrived and remained mostly empty while we ate. The complimentary (small) prosecco, welcome canapé and local Ischian wine list were nice . However, the food fell short considering it is around €50 per person, the bruschetta bread was overly chewy, and the pasta portions were small with a watery sauce. To top it off, the pizzeria across the way completely blocks the Forio sunset from the terrace. Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3 Order type: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €40–50

A nice atmosphere and fine service but very disappointing food after such great reviews. Perhaps we have been spoilt in other parts of the island outside of Forio. First, the 22€ appetizer, a fish carpaccio, was small and with bones. Of our two pastas, one, a stuffed seafood ravioli, came with just five ravioli also for 22€ while the other, a seafood linguine for 20€ had tiny pieces of seafood and just two tiny prawns, the smallest prawns I have ever seen, with the shell on. Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €50–60

Core a Core is a lovely spot in Ischia — cozy atmosphere, great energy, and a menu that really celebrates local flavors. The dishes are fresh, well prepared, and feel genuinely connected to the island’s tradition without being heavy or overly classic. Staff is friendly and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even nicer. A great place to stop for a relaxed meal in Forio, with good food, good vibes, and that warm Ischia touch.
